Melissa Teresco graduated from The University of Scranton after completing an accelerated program obtaining a Bachelors of Science in Health Sciences with a concentration in Human Development and a minor in Psychology and then a Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy. Melissa has clinical experience spanning from early intervention services to geriatric care. She always knew she wanted to practice and work with pediatrics. She has been a full time staff school-based occupational therapist, working throughout the school year and during the extended school year programs. She wanted to branch out and add a new adventure to her clinical scope, leading her to join the Springboard team in 2021. Melissa loves working in the school setting and outpatient clinic-based setting to incorporate important scopes of practice focusing on the "whole child".
Melissa has taken numerous continuing education classes and certifications including: BrainGym, Handwriting Without Tears, Keyboarding Without Tears, Zones of Regulation. Her passion lies within working with families and children to have fun while working on what matters most to them.
When not at Springboard, Melissa enjoys exploring with her rescue pup Hope, spending time with her family and friends, traveling, swimming, and reading.
